Thought I’d share an important macro flower photography vocabulary word/concept with you this afternoon. As was the case with the phrase “depth-of-field” that I presented last time, this probably won’t be new to you if you’ve studied photography in the past.
But, if you’re relatively new to macro flower photography, bokeh is a word/concept with which you’ll want to become familiar.
The formal definition given below is straight out of Webster’s dictionary.
The image is a clematis that I captured this past Saturday at the Perennial Garden at the Center for the Arts here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
