Coming Soon! I’m starting an Etsy shop!

I’ve got exciting new plans coming soon! You might have been wondering what was the driving force behind this flurry of activity in the online Mike McRoberts Photography world. There’s a simple answer – I’m preparing to start selling my photos, prints, notecards, and other physical products online. I’m creating an Etsy shop!

The Products

I’m currently working diligently to source products that I think you might be interested in! These are simple stationary and gifts to liven up your home and share the joy of flowers with those close to you. Here’s what you can expect and look forward to soon:

  • 5×7 Notecards – great for sending to loved ones and also for hanging on the wall as a mini print!
  • Journals – we’ll have multiple journals to choose from (including blank journals, gratitude journals, and planners) with my flowers on the cover and throughout
  • Prints – I’ll offer a variety of prints, including on metal and canvas. You’ll also have access to digital downloads if you want to use my photos as wallpaper or print them yourself.

Do these products sound interesting to you? Do you have other suggestions of products you would want? I’d love to hear your opinion, and I promise I’ll take every bit of feedback I get into account. Leave a comment below, or email me!

The Timeline

When can you expect to see products available online? We’re planning to launch our shop early this year, most likely in April! What better way to celebrate spring?

If you want updates about our shop launch, want to receive great discounts and help be part of the ground floor of the Mike McRoberts Photography shop, make sure you sign up for my newsletter and follow me on social media! I’ll be sending special offers to my audiences there.

The Backstory

Selling my photos has been a dream of mine for years. When I first started my photography hobby back in 2008, I explored the idea of printing notecards to give to friends and family. People loved them! However, I couldn’t figure out at the time how to sell them to a larger audience and make money doing it.

Flash forward to 2018, when I owned multiple businesses and was developing multiple streams of income. The idea of selling notecards and sharing my photography was born again. I was working hard online here at my website and also on social media to gauge interest in these products, and figure out a way to sell them. Then, my life took a turn and I took an engineering job. Mike McRoberts Photography was paused once again.

Now, I’m looking forward to retirement and realizing that I have the control and stability to take control of my life. It’s really the perfect time to start this business, and has made me so excited about the prospect of retiring and being able to share my photos full time. It has given me a new passion and energy for what lies ahead.

I’m grateful that this chapter is finally being written. It’s been 15 years in the making, and I am thrilled to finally see it taking off. With the help of my daughter, Edie, we’re forging ahead with this shop, and look forward to sharing it with you very soon!

Thank you so much, sincerely, for joining me on this long and winding journey. It’s because of your continued interest and support that I want to move forward once more.

And remember: flowers make you happy!
