Cameras
My go-to camera body these days. I love the mirrorless technology, in-camera stabilization, and weather-resistant “splash-proof” body.
Mirrorless, Micro 4/3 processor.
I’ve shot thousands of images on this camera. This camera allowed me to shoot larger files and capture many of my favorite images. It’s a bit old now, but it’s a great starter camera.
DLSR, 4/3 processor.
Lenses
My primary lens! It’s on my camera 90% of the time. I use it for getting close details thanks to its Macro function.
Splash-proof
A great all-around lens. I use it for everything that’s not macro. It’s a very fast lens at f/2.8, which makes it great in low-light.
Splash-proof
A wider-angle lens. I use it primarily for landscapes, gardens, and architecture.
I use a micro 4/3 adapter to use with my OM-D E-M1.
A fast zoom lens. This is great for wildlife, sports, and other images where you need to get closer to your subject.
I use a micro 4/3 adapter to use with my OM-D E-M1.
For ethereal image quality and soft focus. It adds a filter effect to your images in-camera.
Manual focus
My workhorse lens. It has taken most of my photos over the years. Now it’s my macro backup. An excellent lens.
I use a micro 4/3 adapter to use with my OM-D E-M1.
A high-speed, versatile lens. I use it for a variety of images. It’s a good, fast lens.
I use a micro 4/3 adapter to use with my OM-D E-M1.
Adds extra magnification by moving the lens further from the camera body. I used this tube primarily with my E-30 and 50mm f/2.0 macro lens to get closer to my subject.
This adapter allows me to use lenses I bought for my E-30 with my mirrorless micro 4/3 camera (the OM-D E-M1).
Reduces glare and enhances the sky. I use this filter when shooting landscapes to add extra color and depth to the sky, as well as reduce reflection on water.
Easy lens protection. While it does marginally reduce harsh sunlight, mostly it offers a layer of protection from irreversible scratches and damage to the lens glass.
Accessories
A lightweight, compact carry bag. This bag has a rain-proof cover and a sling shoulder strap, which allows you to access the compartments without having to take it off your back. I use this on nearly every outing.
A spacious storage pack. It has plenty of room for two camera bodies and all my lenses and accessories. Good for travel and storage when you need to keep everything together.
A sturdy, versatile tripod. It helps stabilize images with its solid design, and also allows you to shoot directly downward. I rarely use a tripod for doing macro flower photography, but it’s a valuable tool for landscapes and product photos.
Uses XPRO Ball Head and 200 PL QR Plate
You don’t want to skimp on memory space. This card allows me to shoot thousands of photos without ever worrying about filling up my memory card. It’s a super fast card, great for continuous shooting.
